1. Our commitment to your privacy
RefluSense takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to handling your personal and health data with the highest level of care and transparency.
2. Data stored locally on your device
Your complete meal history, symptom logs, and all health tracking data are stored exclusively on your device. We do not upload, sell, or share your personal health diary with any third party. This data never leaves your phone unless you explicitly export it yourself (e.g., to PDF).

- Weekly and monthly AI-generated summaries
3. Data processed in the cloud
To provide AI-powered food analysis and generate health insights, certain anonymized data is temporarily processed by our secure cloud services (Firebase / AI inference services). This includes:
- Names of foods or dishes you query for reflux risk analysis
- Symptom descriptions used for generating weekly or monthly reports
- Aggregated, anonymized meal pattern data for AI analysis
This data is processed without any personally identifiable information. Your nickname, device ID, and any identifying details are never sent to the cloud.
4. Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number
- We do not track your location
- We do not collect payment information (handled by Google Play / App Store)
- We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics SDKs that identify you personally
5. Subscriptions and payments
If you subscribe to RefluSense Premium, all payment processing is handled exclusively by Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment card details or billing information.
6. Third-party services
RefluSense uses the following third-party services to deliver its core functionality:
- Firebase (Google): Secure cloud functions for AI request routing and processing. Firebase's privacy policy applies to this data handling.
- Deepseek AI: Anonymized text queries are processed to generate food safety assessments and health reports.
7. Children's privacy
RefluSense is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. Data retention
All data stored on your device remains there until you manually delete it or uninstall the application. Cloud-processed queries (food names and symptom descriptions) are not retained after the AI response is delivered — they are processed in real time and discarded.
9. Your rights
Since your personal data is stored on your own device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:
- View all your data within the app at any time
- Export your data as a PDF report
- Uninstall the app to remove all local data
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
